The fall session runs from September 3-November 5, 2020 (nine weeks), although interns may be able to start later than September 3 if all spots aren’t already filled. Internship time commitments range from 8-20 hours/week. Every intern will receive a stipend.
Recruit and manage volunteers to participate in phone banking, texting, and postcard writing to get out the vote, while also engaging in those activities. Gain leadership and organizational skills and hands-on political experience.
(Minimum of 8 hours/week)
Develop PSAs to share on social media to get out the youth vote, while also working to get out the vote through postcards, texts, and phone calls
(20 hours/week time commitment; must have film coursework and/or experience).
Design, implement, and evaluate marketing campaigns to encourage young people to vote, while also working to get out the vote through postcards, texts, and phone calls
(20 hours/week time commitment).
In addition, all interns will:
Help with the roll-out of a youth-oriented app called Motivote.
Participate in educational programming, including a guest speaker series.
Participate in weekly meetings for planning and supervision.
